Fatima for Today by Fr. Andrew Apostoli – Fr. Andrew Apostoli is one of the leading experts on Fatima, and writes about the message, explaining how this message is necessary for today’s world.

Fatima in Lucia’s Own Words by Lucia dos Santos – Written in a conversational style, this collection of writings from Sr. Lucia, one of the Fatima visionaries, provides almost all of the information we have on the apparitions.  The visionary to live the longest, Lucia wrote under obedience, recalling many details of the visions and the children’s lives.  The first volume deals with the apparitions and the two youngest visionaries, Jacinta and Francisco;  in the second volume, she recalls her own family and the events of her life after Mary's appearances. Later in life, she wrote another work that provides a nice commentary on the apparitions entitled "Calls" from the Message of Fatima.

Mary Was Her Life by Sr. Mary Pierre, RSM - This book is about a young teenage girl growing up in Spain in the 1930's and 1940's. Teresita Quevedo was like many young people growing up in modern times: she had many friends and was very good at sports.  However, early in her life, she took as her model the Blessed Virgin Mary.  Her motto throughout her short life was "May all who look at me see only Mary."  During her short life, Teresita strove to put this motto into practice.  This book is not found in most catalogs but copies can be obtained through the internet.

Mary: the Virgin Mary in the Life and Writings of John Henry Newman edited by Philip Boyce - Blessed John Henry Cardinal Newman had a great devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.  He was a visitor of Our Lady of Victories in Paris, France, the great center for the Archconfraternity of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Refuge of Sinners.  He wrote the "Litany of the Immaculate Heart of Mary" as well as many beautiful sermons on the virtues of Our Lady.

Shepherds of Fatima by Fr. Manuel Fernando Sousa e Silva - Using Lucia’s Memoirs and other sources, Father Manuel Sousa retells the story of Our Lady of Fatima, incorporating detailed interviews with the seers and other eye-witness accounts.  The book has many pictures and reads like a novel while presenting a depth of information.

The World’s First Love by Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen - Archbishop Fulton Sheen expresses very well in this book many aspects of devotion to Mary.  He explains the basis of our devotion to Mary, including all Marian dogmas, and relates these aspects to our daily lives.  We need Mary, and Archbishop Sheen beautifully explains why.

Theotokos by John Paul II, compiled by the Daughters of St. Paul - This book includes a collection of St. John Paul II’s weekly catecheses on Mary, using the timeline of her life as an outline for addressing what we believe about Mary and the relationship we can have with her.  This is a valuable resource offering comprehensive knowledge of Marian dogma.

Fatima (VHS) – Narrated by Ricardo Montalbon, this film puts the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima in their historical context, illustrating the tie between the conversion of Russia, the fall of Communism, world peace and Our Lady.

Footprints of God: Mary (DVD) – Steve Ray walks in the footsteps of Our Lady, visiting places in the Holy Land that she would have seen during her lifetime.  While at the sites, Steve Ray teaches Mariology in an engaging style, using the actual location as a backdrop for the doctrine related to that site.
